Climate Action Plan

Our school has created a Climate Action Plan because we believe every child deserves a healthy, safe, and thriving planet to grow up in. Climate change affects the world around us—from the weather we experience to the animals and plants we learn about—and we want our pupils to understand how they can make a positive difference. By taking action now, we’re helping to protect the environment for today’s children and for future generations.

The plan also helps us work together as a community. It guides the choices we make in school, such as how we use energy, how we reduce waste, and how we look after our outdoor spaces. When children see these actions happening every day, they learn that small steps can add up to big changes. It also gives families and staff clear ways to join in and support our shared goals.

Most importantly, our Climate Action Plan is part of our commitment to giving pupils the knowledge and confidence to care for the world around them. Through lessons, projects, and hands‑on activities, children learn about sustainability in a positive and empowering way. We want them to feel proud of the part they play in protecting the planet and to carry those values with them as they grow.
