Fundraising

In order to raise awareness of others who are less fortunate, the children are fully involved in helping our local community and the wider community by collecting items or raising funds.

At Harvest time we collect tins and packets to donate to local charities such as Lifeshare, which helps homeless people, or the Trussell Trust, which provides food banks for families in need.

We join in national charity events such as Children in Need, Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

We also try to raise money for our school funds which helps to buy extra equipment for the children and pay towards school visits and visitors. We do this through all kinds of events e.g. sponsored events, a Spooky Disco, Christmas raffle, Summer fair and quiz nights.  The support of our parents is always appreciated and funds raised benefit the children greatly.

Throughout the year we also have awareness raising events such as Anti-Bullying week. The children and staff have lots of fun dressing up as a book character on World Book day, when the older children are paired with a younger class and spend time sharing books with them.
