Well Done Assembly- “Your Chance to Shine”

All parents welcome

At 2.40pm each Friday we hold our ‘Well Done’ assembly in which we celebrate all the children’s excellent work, in all areas of the curriculum. The children come out to the front of the hall to explain what they have been learning and have their “chance to shine.”

The staff also award Silver certificates for behaviour and attitude and Gold certificates for achievement and effort. Teachers explain to everyone why they have awarded the certificates and the children are very proud to accept them.

Weekly trophies awarded in this assembly demonstrate important qualities for the future and are as follows:

  • Attendance trophy – for the class with the best attendance
  • Tidy trophy – awarded by Mr Grimshaw, Site Manager, for the tidiest classroom
  • Team points trophy – awarded to the team that has earned the most points
  • Punctuality plaque – awarded to the class which is most punctual

Parents are encouraged to attend Well Done assembly and the staff and children look forward to seeing as many as possible each week.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club is open from 8 a.m. each morning and is run by our Teaching Assistants in the mobile classroom. Children are provided with a choice of cereal and/or toast and a drink. The cost of Breakfast Club is currently £1.20 per day but is subject to review each year. Payment must be made in advance on Monday of each week and refunds for absence are not available.

The children are supervised by 5 Teaching Assistants, 3 of whom hold Food Hygiene Certificates and after breakfast the children enjoy playing with table top games. At 8.40 a.m. approximately the children are brought over to main school in order to join in with Wake Up and Shake Up in the hall.

Breakfast Club is extremely popular with parents and children so it is important that you register your child in plenty of time if you wish them to have a place. Please check with the School Office to see if places are available and complete a registration form.
